February is the new January

It’s never too late to start a new habit or set that goal you know is achievable but you’ve been too apprehensive to begin working towards. Every new week starts with a new Monday but personally I like to start at the beginning of a new year; specifically the Chinese New Year! January is alright but I sort of see it as a preamble to the main event, a trial month if you will.

By February all the Christmas treats are finished and life resumes at a reasonably steady state of normality-unless you do party every evening generally and if so, I salute you-you lucky thing!

Whatever you start, start now! There really is no better time. Give it a go and see where that new habit or goal takes you-what’s the worst that can happen?

“And suddenly you just know…it’s time to start something new and trust the magic of beginnings”

Meister Eckhart, German theologian

If you need inspiration why not try Carly’s classes starting with a special Valentine’s boxing class, 7:30pm on February 15th at St Mary’s Church, Putney-love and hearts themed clothing optional (check the timetable for regular class dates and times). If you can also make Saturday 18th, 11:00am you’ll be in for a treat with a natural juice-fuelled Hatton boxing workshop. Oh yes, February is gooooood!

Knockout offers a full body, fast-paced boxing workout that is suitable for all abilities whilst Pilates strengthens the body and mind.

Yes, starting something new can seem daunting but with Carly’s classes, ego is left at the door and a supportive, welcoming group of future friends awaits. Social motivation in a like-minded, inclusive community can really make the difference.  Start now and who knows, maybe February will become your new January too!
